Snack of the Week: Curly Tops

Curly Tops
Just sharing  one of my favorite childhood treat, Curly Tops. It's been quite a while since I devoured on this sweet. Now that I'm forced to become more health conscious, I'm really trying hard to stay away from chocolates but when I saw the familiar box from a nearby store, I gave in...easily. They're like a box full of happy childhood memories so in a way it's like a two in one treat :) Siyempre naubos ko agad ang buong box!

Just curious, do you guys know what's the difference between curly tops and Flat Tops?

Snack of the Week: Bukayo

Sharing yet another fave old time sweet Filipino dessert, bukayo. To my Ate Inday, how I wish you can see my blog...I would like to reach out my heartful gratitude not just for your recent padala but also for the loyalty and long years of service you have extended to my family. This sweet bukayo indeed brought back some good childhood memories.

Snack of the Week: Cinema Pop by Chef Tony's

I could still fairly remember about around 2006 when I would pass by SM Makati into a bunch of popcorn products neatly sealed in round transparent plastic containers (very much unusual from the regular popcorns in paper bags). It was definitely eye catching as you could clearly see those golden caramel popcorns inside. Fast forward 5 years later, they're now the leading popcorn brand in the Philippines. Recently I got to taste their yet another best selling flavors - Chef Tony's Cinema Pop in Canadian Bacon and Cheddar.

So what's Chef Tony's secret recipe? According to their website, they boast their products with "No trans fats, no preservatives, non GMO corn and oils, no artificial whatchamacallits."

Snack of the Week: Oishi PODS

Oishi PODS
Craving for a healthier "junk food" minus the guilt? Interestingly, snacking on Oishi's PODS made me remember my childhood favorite Snacku which is a Rice Crackers Veg. But hey, I'm more into healthy stuff now so Pods is definitely a great alternative to our usual junkfoods.

Snack of the Week: Pan de Manila's Dulce de Leche

Pan de Manila's Dulce de Leche
Pan de Manila may specializes on traditionally baked (pugon-style) pan de sal. But this summer, I find myself consistently enjoying this sweet afternoon treat Dulce de Leche, which is somewhat similar in flavor to caramel.

Snack of the Week: Chunkee

Chunkee

If Rachael Ray has her snack of the day in her self titled show, then this blog should have its own version too! I don't eat snacks everyday so I'll just better call it "Snack of the Week", shall we? To kick start the new segment err category of this blog, I give you Chunkee Chewy Soft Cookies!
